205 people from 16 countries attended Electronic Materials and Applications 2011. EMA 2011 was held January 19-21, 2011, at the Royal Plaza Hotel, Orlando, FL. Shashank Priya, Juan Nino, and Quanxi Jia. Along with the leadership of the Electronics Division and Basic Science Division and many symposia organizers put together a technical program that included 192 presentations and posters. It also featured five plenary speakers: Dr. Akira Ando, Murata Manufacturing; Patricia Dehmer, U.S. Department of Energy; Roop L. Mahajan, Virgina Tech; Lynnette Madsen, National Science Foundation; and Ronald G. Polcawich, US Army Research Laboratory. The Conference include 7 symposia plus a student run program called “Highlights of Student Research in Basic Science and Electronic Ceramics.”

Meeting History
Electronic Materials and Applications 2010 was the first in a series of annual meetings to be held in Florida. Hosted by the Electronics and Basic Science Divisions of ACerS, the meeting will focus on cutting-edge electronic ceramic applications.
