Bioceramics 2014 brought together applied researchers, medical practitioners and medical ceramic materials manufacturers to develop emerging technologies, treatments, and products and devices. Hosted July 30 to August 1, this unique event covered the healthcare environment, clinical applications, materials characterization, and surgical trends. The meeting consisted of four plenary talks, eight panel discussions, and a rapid-fire presentation and poster session. Each panelist gave a 5-minute introductory statement about his/her area of expertise and technology of interest, then a moderator led a Q &A with the audience.
