Meeting Description |
A total of 959 people from 35 countries attended the 10th Pacific Rim Conference on Ceramic and Glass Technology. PACRIM10 was held June 2-7, 2013, at the Hotel Del Coronado, San Diego, California, USA. This year’s plenary speakers included Jeff Wadsworth, Battelle Memorial Institute; Hong-Kyu Park, LG Chem Battery R&D; Tomoyoshi Motohiro, Toyota Central R&D; and M. K. Badrinarayan, Corning Inc. Additionally, the inaugural ACerS Varshneya Frontiers of Glass Science Lecture was given by Walter Kob, University of Montpellier, as the opening lecture of the Glass & Optical Materials Division program.

PACRIM History |
Over the years, PACRIM conferences have established a strong reputation for state-of-the-art presentations, information exchange on the latest emerging technologies and facilitating global dialogue and discussion with leading world experts. This is the tenth in a series of international conferences that provide a forum for the presentations and information exchange on emerging ceramic and glass technologies. The conference series began in 1993 and was last held in 2011 in Cairns, Australia, under the organization of The Australian Ceramic Society. The Chinese Ceramic Society and the Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences organized in 2007, and ACerS organized PACRIM6 in Maui, Hawaii and PACRIM8 in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
